The 9th annual Denver Chalk Art Festival on Larimer Square is this weekend! This FREE two-day street-painting festival will feature more than 200 artists who will spend hours turning the streets of Larimer Square into a museum of chalk art.
 
June 4, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
June 5, Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
* Awards ceremony at 6 p.m. on Sunday

Featured Artists: The event showcases five madonnari (professionals in this medium); all are award-winning street painters including first place finishes in the International Street Painting Competition in Grazie di Curtatone, Italy. More>>>

Live Music: Arts & Venues Denver returns to program live music performances on the Blue Moon Stage throughout the weekend. Check our website soon for the entertainment lineup!

Photo Contest: RMCAD and Southwest Airlines present Capture the Color Photo Contest. Winning photographer nabs two Southwest Airlines tickets. Upload your photos of the event  to RMCAD's Facebook page to be eligible. 
 
RMCAD Youth Challenge: The Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design presents the festival's Youth Challenge, where a dozen talented groups of youth and students from Colorado schools and organizations will compete for cash prizes that will go to their respective school's visual arts departments.
 
Bellco Kids Corner: Children and their parents can take part in this festival for a small donation and let their imaginations soar as they create their own mini masterpieces. More>>>
 
Wine Pavilions: Guests can taste a variety of wines at three wine tents within the event. Wines are available by the bottle, by the glass or through our Tasting Card - $16 for 4 tastes and 1 glass of your favorite. Cheers!
 
Artfully Crafted: Select from Blue Moon, Honey Moon Summer Ale, Coors and Coors Light– available for purchase at three locations around the event site. The wine and beer locations also have a variety of non-alcoholic products to quench even the most thirsty art-enthusiast!

Fab Food: Bring your appetites and be prepared to enjoy a variety of yummy items, including Italian Ice, Gourmet Buffalo Burgers, Sweet Potato Fries, Hula Dogs, Gelato, and Grilled Alaska Salmon Burgers.  Why can’t we eat this way all year long?!

VIP Party: A limited number of the festival's VIP/Patron party tickets are available to the public. Tickets are $20 and include appetizers and cocktails and a great time mingling among our artists and sponsors! To get your order your tickets, call Christina at 303-685-8154. 

Eco-Fill Stations: Help us cut down on the plastic waste generated at the event.  The eco-fill stations are proudly sponsored by Deep Rock Water, bring your own refillable water bottle and for a $1 donation stay hydrated all weekend.
